James A. Robinson, age 79, died Monday, March 18, 2024 at Edward M. Poe Care Center, Titusville. Born in Daytona Beach, to Earl Leroy and Juanita Imogene Michael Robinson, James came to the area in 2001 from Oviedo.
He grew up in Oak Hill, raised a Baptist and attended Oak Hill Baptist Church when he was younger. A United States Army veteran, he traveled the world with the Military Police. James retired from the military after 30 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion and AmVets. James worked as a TSA manager at the Orlando International Airport for 10 years after 9/11. He enjoyed going on cruises with his wife and friends, fishing, cooking, and sightseeing.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Chong; son, Michael Robinson, of Auburn, Alabama; three grandsons, Gabriel Robinson, Cayden Robinson, and Ethan Robinson; two brothers, Kenneth Robinson, and Stanley (Stacey) Robinson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside service will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, with Dr. Timothy Palmer, officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, 406 South Orange Street, New Smyrna Beach.
